The show, which dominated the summit all season long with ratings of 10+, was already highly talked about following its thrilling, peak-excitement season finale. While fans were busy speculating about who had left and who was going to leave Taşacak Bu Deniz, a completely unforeseen turn of events occurred. Onur Dilber, who brings the character of Gezep to life in the series, announced that he had been removed from the cast.
Onur Dilber, known to viewers as Gezep in Taşacak Bu Deniz, revealed that he had been written out of the series in a post shared on his X account.
Dilber wrote: “I was surprised and saddened to learn that Gezep, a character I loved playing in the series Tbd, will not be part of the new season. Gezep, who had made a strong start in the show and won the audience’s affection, had been experiencing a decline for weeks, and the way the character had moved away from his essence was something the audience was also aware of. While I was hoping that the character would return to his roots and that we would see the story that had been promised for him in the new season, I want you to know that I cannot make sense of this situation and that I am deeply saddened by it. There is actually a lot to say, and God willing, we will say it when the time comes. With love to everyone who loved Gezep, supported me, and contributed to my journey… I hope we meet again in new and even better stories, with new characters.”
Onur Dilber also shared a post on his Instagram account.
Dilber wrote: “Thank you to the Tbd audience. Unfortunately, there is a Gezep story that has been left unfinished, but it is what it is. May justice be served, even if late. Amen!”
