When Gazete Magazin reporters directly asked Birce about the situation with İbrahim Çelikkol, her tense attitude did not go unnoticed.

Akalay was among 19 well-known names involved in the drug operation that has dominated headlines for the past week. The actress and others who tested positive were reportedly ordered to undergo regular drug testing every six months for the next three years.

Although she has continued with her daily life and avoided speaking about the issue, one of her recent social media moves drew significant attention.

While no one could quite understand why she unfollowed Aslı Enver and Nur Fettahoğlu, her decision to unfollow İbrahim Çelikkol and his wife particularly shocked those who have closely followed her.

Akalay and Çelikkol, whose on-screen chemistry and close friendship have long fueled rumors of a romantic relationship, have repeatedly stated that they are just very close friends. Their sudden fallout — and the fact that Akalay was the one to initiate it — surprised many fans.

When one of Akalay’s past comments about friendship resurfaced, it offered a possible explanation for what might have gone wrong between the two.

Recently, Gazete Magazin reporters caught up with Birce Akalay in person and asked her directly about İbrahim Çelikkol.

Looking calm and composed, Akalay responded to the drug operation questions with, “Don’t even ask, and I won’t say a word.”

However, when the topic turned to İbrahim Çelikkol, she barely said anything beyond “Nothing.” Repeating “Nothing, nothing, nothing,” and “Never,” Akalay made it clear she didn’t want to talk about it.

As she walked away, she left a brief but telling remark: “I received so much support during this time from the people I love — at least let me say that.”

It sounded to many like a subtle message — “Those who truly love me are enough. I’ve seen who really cares and who doesn’t.”
