Who is Demet Ozdemir?

Özdemir was born on 26 February 1992 as the youngest of 3 children of her parents. She moved to Istanbul with her mother and siblings after her parents' divorce, when she was 7 years old.Her grandmother is a Bulgarian Turk and she immigrated from Bulgaria to Turkey. Furthermore, Demet Ozdemir’s grandmother and her brother later immigrated to Germany. As the daughter of a broken family, Demet Ozdemir, later on, turned into a very famous face in Turkey. And afterwards, she gained serious fame in the world. She could make her struggle with life in Istanbul and now, here she is!

Her Career 

Initially, she was a backup dancer for Bengü and later joined the dance group of Efes Kızları. Özdemir then appeared on Mustafa Sandal's music video "Ateş Et ve Unut" and soon was cast in Fox's new series Sana Bir Sır Vereceğim alongside Esra Ronabar, Murat Han and Ekin Koç, portraying the character of "Aylin" with electric power.

Later she portrayed the character of "Ayla" on Kurt Seyit ve Şura, and got a role as "Demet" in the movie Tut Sözünü. She then played the character of "Aslı" on Star TV's series Çilek Kokusu. Özdemir also appeared in Bengü's music video "Hodri Meydan".

From 2018 to 2019, she played the lead role "Sanem" in the Turkish romantic comedy series Erkenci Kuş (Early Bird) opposite Can Yaman. She received the Best Actress award at the 2019 Murex d'Or in Lebanon for her role in this series.

In November 2019 she became a brand ambassador for Pantene Turkey.

Özdemir is currently playing the lead role "Zeynep" in Doğduğun Ev Kaderindir opposite İbrahim Çelikkol. The series is produced by OG Medya, directed by Çağrı Bayrak and premiered on TV8 on 25 December 2019. The script is inspired by Dr. Gülseren Budayıcıoğlu’s novel Camdaki Kız.
