A NEW SERIES FOR ÇAGATAY?

Journalists Sina Koloğlu recently stated that Çağatay Ulusoy will play in a new TIMS & B series entitled "Maraşlı." Based on a script by Ethem Özisik, the show allegedly tells the story of an explorer connected with a secret organization. The news was subsequently picked up in Abdurrahman Balcılar's blog, who added that the news might be probable in light of Çağatay's friendship with Burak Sağyaşar one of the main partners in the TIMS & B production company, which has already made an official announcement that a superstar of the Turkish screen will play the main role in the project.

This piece of news should, however, be taken with a grain of salt for several reasons. Other stars, such as Kenan İmirzalıoğlu, Tolga Sarıtaş, have already been mentioned in the past in connection with "Maraşlı." Moreover, Sina Koloğlu has gotten information wrong before. Finally, we know that Çağatay's priority after "The Protector" is to direct his first movie, based on his own script. Starring in the leading role for a series might get in the way of his film project unless the series turns out to be limited.
