Some of the most successful Turkish soap Daydreamer, this summer's record-setting Turkish soap, is definitely the choice of the protagonists, especially the undisputed charm of Can Yaman, the actor who lends his face in the series to the sexy photographer Can Divit, the main male character of the series, and the chemistry with the female co-star, Demet Ozdemir.
After a career as a lawyer, the actor had already made himself known to the Italian public last year, thanks to the role of Ferit Aslan in Bitter Sweet, favorite of the Italian female audience, he was a guest on Verissimo, in an episode that will air tomorrow, as usual on Saturday, and there were several topics touched on during the interview with Silvia Toffanin, starting, of course, from the gossip about an alleged relationship with Ozdemir, immediately denied by Can:
We are just friends. She helped me a lot on set. We hope to work together again!
The actor said he was single but open to love:
Right now I am single, but like everybody else, I would like to have a relationship. These things cannot be planned, because if I did, life would surprise me. I am open to everything.
Yaman also spoke about the rumored collaboration with director Ferzan Özpetek:
I met the director Ferzan Özpetek in Rome and he was very nice. We talked many times on the phone but we had never seen each other live. We were hoping to do something nice together, maybe a movie. There is the intention and desire to do it but for the moment nothing can be said, it's still early.
And he finally revealed he lives by the day, without planning for the future:
I don't often dream much, I like to live in the present. I almost never stop to think about things, projects. I live and act, the great thing about being an actor is that you never know what's waiting for you: I really like to be surprised by events. Three years ago I would never have said that I would come here today and instead happened.
