Can Yaman, first previews of Sandokan: the figure of Lady Marianne will be the key character

Can Yaman has been chosen as the protagonist of the upcoming Sandokan TV series, the 80's hit with Kabir Bedi, which will return to the small screen. The filming of this revival will begin shortly and will be produced by Lux Vide and will see the Turkish star in the role of the famous "Tiger of Mompracem". In the meantime, the first anticipations about what we will see in this new TV series are emerging and a fundamental role will be that of Lady Marianne, Sandokan's partner.

Sandokan with Can Yaman: the series consists of eight episodes

In detail, the first previews of Sandokan starring Can Yaman reveal that the series will consist of a total of eight episodes.

At the moment, however, it is not yet known on which network the fiction will be aired.

The one from the '80s, starring Kabir Bedi, was broadcasted on Rai networks but for this remake, it is not excluded that offers could be made by Mediaset, where the Turkish actor has depopulated in recent years with Turkish series starring him.

It is also possible that there could be an interest in the production from streaming platforms, such as Netflix or Amazon Prime.

How will be the new adaptation of Sandokan with Can Yaman: the expectations

Waiting to find out who will manage to grab the rights to air the Sandokan remake, the previews reveal that in this new series will be essential the presence of Lady Marianne.

The noble lady kidnapped by Sandokan and his pirates, who will eventually voluntarily join the crew, thus becoming the first female pirate of the time.

The female perspective, therefore, will occupy an important role in the plot even if, at the moment, there is still no definite news on who will play the role of Lady Marianne.

The only advances on the cast of Sandokan, reveal that at the side of Can Yaman will be the actor Luca Argentero while for the female partner was initially made the name of Alessandra Mastronardi, but in the end, it was never confirmed.

In the meantime, Luca Bernabei, Lux Vide's CEO, admitted in a recent interview that at the moment the public wants to see the broadcasting of stories that talk about freedom, adventure and that manage to take them to exotic places.

And that's exactly what Sandokan, starring Can Yaman, will try to do.

"It will be the story of piracy as it has never been told, with themes that are as topical as ever," admitted Bernabei, speaking of this new production that will soon be produced and that will hopefully appeal to a vast and diverse audience.
