Can Yaman's ratings drop on Canale 5
In detail, this summer Canale 5 had chosen to return to bet on Can Yaman to occupy the prime time slot, which had been orphaned by Maria De Filippi and Uomini e donne.
And so the soap Mr. Wrong - Lessons in Love made its debut and was subsequently promoted to prime time. Too bad, however, that the ratings of this new production did not shine and, especially in the evening of Canale 5, the average was nothing short of derisory with just 9% share and just over a million and a half viewers.
These figures were decidedly low and far from those that Can Yaman had achieved in the past with other Turkish soaps that had reached a 20% share.
After the success of Can Yaman, two new kings of Mediaset soaps arrive
The fact is that, for this summer, Canale 5 has chosen to focus on two new Turkish series with as many male protagonists, which have won the approval of the public.
The first is Love is in the air, starring the actor Kerem Bursin as the charming architect Serkan Bolat.
As well as being a successful model, the actor also has several films and television series to his credit and is considered Turkey's "Prince Charming".
The other character launched in this summer 2021 and candidate to become the new king of Canale 5 soaps in place of Can Yaman, is the actor Kivanc Tatlitug, known to the public for being Cesur of the soap Brave and Beautiful.
Cesur and Serkan, the new soap 'star' duo taking over from Can Yaman
Again, his charm has not gone unnoticed, to the point of being considered the "Brad Pitt of the Middle East".
Both the actor who played Serkan and Cesur were able to break through to the hearts of the audience.
Love is in the air and Brave and Beautiful, in these weeks of airing on Canale 5, have achieved an average audience of about 1.8 million viewers per day, reaching even 18-19% share and allowing the flagship network to win the leadership of the afternoon ratings.
