Kerem Bürsin's ('Love is in the air') strong response to a fan who accuses him of hating Israelis

Kerem Bürsin, star of Love is in the air, has responded to a fan who accused him of hating Israelis. The follower, who hails from Israel, dedicated a message to him on Twitter after the actor openly defended the rights of the Palestinian people.

I am disappointed and hurt that you hate me completely I admired and loved you ..Thank you for making me open my eyes and see that there is still free hatred and anti-Semitism. A huge disappointment to an audience that loves you here (Israel)

Bürsin, who plays Serkan Bolat in the TV series "Love is in the air", has not hesitated to answer this criticism with a strong message: " I absolutely don’t hate you! This isn’t about picking sides or anything like that…it’s a deep conversation and unfortunately a lot of political bs…I can’t and would never hate anyone because of where they are from! Please know this and remember it," he concludes.

This controversy surrounding the actor arose last May when in the midst of the Israeli offensive in Gaza, both Kerem Bürsin and Hande Erçel, his co-star in Love is in the air and real-life partner, spoke out on their social networks in favor of the rights of the Palestinian people.

Specifically, the actress posted on her Instagram profile a story in which the hashtag #PrayForPalestine could be read on a black background. Just a few minutes later, Kerem did the same with another story in which he wrote "it's not about politics, it's not about religion, it's not about race, it's about humanity". The actor also chose the hashtag #FreePalestine to accompany the message, thus positioning himself among those who advocate that Israel should end its illegal occupation of Palestinian territory.
