Can Yaman, criticized by Ferzan Özpetek, his admired film director: I did not choose him.

We already know that any movement of Can Yaman becomes a worldwide event, but in this case, the controversy has returned to him without the Turkish actor having to do anything. After the rumors of a breakup with Diletta Leotta, which seem to have been confirmed, the interpreter will not have been very happy to know what is the opinion that the famous Turkish film director Ferzan Özpetek has about him.

The story dates back to January this year, when the actor moved to Italy and embarked on a project with Ferzan Özpetek: a series of commercials for an Italian pasta brand. According to statements from both of them, the relationship between them is one of total admiration and trust.

After this short experience working together, Özpetek proposes to Can to participate in a film he is preparing, to be shot this summer. An offer that the actor finally had to refuse due to his commitment with Sandokan's production company. From that moment on, it seems that the relationship is no longer what it used to be and the director deletes the photos he had with Yaman from the networks. Moreover, actor Burak Deniz, whom we can see in 'Our Story' and 'Hayat: Love Without Words', is finally chosen to play the role.

A few days ago, the award-winning director gave an interview to Turkish media Oksijen in which he was blunt about his opinion of both actors: "I didn't choose Can Yaman, the brand wanted him. I really wanted to work with Burak Deniz and I am very happy to work with him".

For the time being, none of the parties involved have commented on Özpetek's words, but fans of the 'Erkenci Kuş' star have not taken these words very well, in which they find " rejection" after receiving Can Yaman's refusal to participate in the film he was preparing.
