Can Yaman is Sandokan, Kabir Bedi: 'He'll play the part beautifully, I've never met him'

Can Yaman moved to Italy at the beginning of 2021 to continue his professional career as an actor. Currently, the Turkish actor is in Palermo, for the filming of "Viola come il mare" and, soon, he will be busy with another TV series. In fact, he will play the role of Sandokan who, in the '70s, was played by Kabir Bedi.

During a recent interview, the Indian actor talked about his young colleague, stating that, according to him, the remake of the fiction will be a success. Moreover, Kabir said that he has never met either Can Yaman or Luca Argentero.

Kabir Bedi played the role of Sandokan in the '70s and talked about the remake of the TV series that will be back on the small screen soon. As told by the actor in a recent interview, at the moment, he has not yet had the pleasure of meeting Can Yaman and, on this subject, he said: ''I have never met the Turkish actor, just as I don't know Luca Argentero (in the role of Yanez), but I'm sure that the whole cast will do a great job".

Kabir Bedi explained that he is happy to be able to see again on television the series that brought him success. On this subject, the actor said: "I am happy with the return of Sandokan. It will be nice to see again the adventures of the 'tiger' with modern special effects".

At the moment, it is not clear when shooting of the remake of the fiction will begin, also because Can Yaman is currently busy in Sicily with Francesca Chillemi, for the shooting of Viola come il mare.

As far as Sandokan is concerned, at the moment, little information has been leaked yet. Regarding the cast, in fact, the names of the two male leads have been revealed: Can Yaman as Sandokan and Luca Argentero as Yanez. The two actors have already met and have also posted a few snaps together on social networks.

The female protagonist, who will play the role of Marianna, has not yet been chosen and no rumors have been leaked about the name of the actress who will be next to the actor from Istanbul. Some time ago, Yaman had posted a snap on Instagram with the playbill of the drama. We just have to wait and see if the Turkish actor will have the same success that Kabir Bedi had in the role of Sandokan.
