Burak Özçivit of 'Kara Sevda' denounced by several co-workers for insulting them badly

These are not good times for Burak Özçivit. According to Turkish press reports, the 'Kara Sevda' star is being sued for insulting four crew members during the filming of the series 'Kuruluş: Osman', in which he plays the lead role. The lawsuit, which was filed on December 8, 2020, in Beykoz, seeks a sentence of four years and one month for the actor.

Almost a year after the lawsuit was filed, the investigation conducted against the performer has been completed. In the indictment issued by the Beykoz Public Prosecutor's Office, the four complainants (three-camera assistants and a cinematographer), stated that on the day of the incident Burak Özçivit uttered bad words and insults towards the complainants. The complaint also provided several witnesses who confirmed the facts in their statements.

The order, which states that there is sufficient evidence that Burak Özçivit committed the crime, confirms that the file has been referred to the mediator because the crime is within the scope of mediation. However, the mediator's report states that the mediation proposal has been rejected. The indictment was accepted by the 3rd Beykoz Criminal Court of First Instance. Actor Özçivit's trial will begin in the coming days.
