Demet Özdemir, on early detection of breast cancer: I go for check-ups as much as I can.

Demet Özdemir is a very conscientious woman. It is not uncommon for the actress to share with her follower's various social causes that need the help and collaboration of people to move forward, as is the case of children with rare diseases. In this case, the star of 'My Home, My Destiny' has made public that she will be the image of the 'Pembe Top Sahada', or what is the same, the Pink Ball Project. An initiative that is carried out annually in Turkey to raise awareness of the importance of early diagnosis of breast cancer.

What is the 'Pembe Top Sahada'?
The event is promoted by the Turkish basketball club Anadolu Efes and the hospital in the same region, Anadolu Medical Center. Together they use the loudspeaker of a Euroleague basketball game to perform an honorary kickoff jump, which is performed by a different actress each year. On this occasion, in its eighth year, Demet Özdemir will be in charge of doing it and it will take place on October 21 at the Sinan Erdem Spor Salonu against the Russian club UNICS Kazan.

The actress also wanted to talk about the importance of regular check-ups: "We shouldn't forget the check-ups thinking that it won't happen to me. It is very important that we remind ourselves and our loved ones, this way we can make sure that more women are protected from breast cancer". Of course, she confesses that she herself ignores the importance of this check-up from time to time: "Sometimes I forget because of the intensity in my day-to-day life, but I do my check-ups as much as I can".
