We were very surprised. This is what we were left with when we discovered that Barış Arduç is a hero. And no, he's not one of those who wear a cape and appear in the movies. The protagonist of 'I rent you my love' is a hero of flesh and blood. For eight years of his life, the actor dedicated himself to saving lives.
He had never talked about it until now and that's why the actor's fans have been totally shocked to discover the news. "I rescued more than a thousand people," the actor has revealed in an interview given to the Turkish edition of 'GQ' and in which he has revealed that for eight years, before devoting himself to acting, he was a lifeguard in Şile, a small town on the Black Sea coast, which has become in recent years a major tourist destination among Turks.
Barış Arduç emotionally recalls that stage of his life and the responsibility that came with having the safety of swimmers in his hands. Rescues depended on his quick intervention and serenity. However, things did not always go as expected and the actor had to face tragedy firsthand. "There was an aunt and a niece. I couldn't reach them, they drowned," the actor, who had a hard time getting over this drama, has recounted. "It was so bad, they were in my dreams.... It took me two years to be able to face it and assimilate it".
