Disney Plus, which is preparing to enter the series and film market of our country like a bomb after Netflix, is making one very ambitious move after another. The platform, which is boosting the market that has revived after the pandemic, is ordering series from the main production companies in our country. One of these companies is MF Production's "Between the World and Me" series, which last week brought together Demet Özdemir, Kerem Bürsin, and Hafsanur Sancaktutan.

A very meticulous casting effort was made for the project from the beginning. First, Hande Erçel and Buğra Gülsoy were originally asked for the lead roles. However, Hande Erçel shared her reservations when she saw that there was a very ambitious love scene in the script. The scriptwriter Pınar Bulut insisted that the scene should be in the series. With that, the production company changed the main roles. It went to Demet Özdemir and Neslihan Atagül for the lead women. The role finally belonged to Demet Özdemir. For the male lead, Disney was more sympathetic to Kerem Bürsin. Now, negotiations are continuing for the other main male actor of the series, who will be on the set in March.
