The Palermo filming of "Viola come il mare" continues apace. Last Sunday, the cast and crew arrived in the Sicilian capital for the final takes of the TV series starring Can Yaman and Francesca Chillemi that will be broadcast on Canale 5 in the spring. In recent days, a short video that immortalized the two actors exchanging a kiss went viral on social networks.
Yesterday, after seven days of incessant filming, some even at night, the cast and crew spent a relaxing Sunday. Can Yaman and Francesca Chillemi had lunch in Mondello, in the restaurant La Sirenetta reopened last summer after a restyling. The two actors posed with the chef after enjoying their dishes.
The plot of the novel which inspired the fiction
The fiction "Viola come il mare" is inspired by the novel "Conosci l'estate?" by Simona Tanzini published by Sellerio. Viola, the protagonist, is a Roman TV journalist who, for professional reasons, had to move to Palermo. In the Sicilian capital, in the middle of a wave of sirocco, Romina, a 20-year-old girl from a good family, is strangled to death. Zefir, a very popular songwriter, is immediately suspected of her murder. Viola wanders around all the places involved in the crime, leading her busy life, snooping around the houses and days of all kinds of people.
Santo, the former editor-in-chief, entrenched behind tenacious silences, puts her in contact with a friend of his, a policeman she calls Zelig because he changes color, who seems to exploit her intuitions, her visions, her ability to profit from the case.
Viola has a disturbance of perception, synesthesia: everything, every place, every person she looks at is connected, for her, to a music and the music to a color; but not everyone, some have no music and therefore no color, "better keep away". This is accompanied by a more serious degenerative disease, "punctured neurons" that, without disabling her, determine her way of moving and her approach to reality.
The Turkish actor had already acted with Francesca Chillemi
Can Yaman and Francesca Chillemi had already crossed paths on the set of "Che Dio ci aiuti". The Turkish actor, in fact, appeared in the last episode of the sixth season in the role of the bartender Gino, immediately renamed "Mr. Tentazione" (Mr. Temptation) for his ability to disrupt the most famous convent on TV in one second.
The fleeting incursion of Diletta Leotta's ex-boyfriend into the convent of the Angels had sent Italian fans into raptures, who had clamored for his return in the seventh season. Once the filming of "Viola come il mare" is over, Can Yaman will move to the set of "Sandokan", another Lux Vide production where he will act alongside Luca Argentero.
