STATION CAN YAMAN, FEDERICA GENTILE ARRIVES ON THE SET: RTL 102.5 MEETS THE MOST BELOVED ACTOR OF THE MOMENT

The announcement of the arrival of Federica Gentile of RTL 102.5 sent the network into a tizzy. Today the mission began: to meet Can Yaman, the Turkish actor among the most loved in the world. Together with Luca Bernabei, managing director of Lux Vide, Federica Gentile arrived with RTL 102.5 live on the set of "Viola Come Il Mare". Luca had promised that sooner or later he would introduce Can Yaman and Francesca Chillemi to RTL 102.5. Promise kept. "A lot of Italian fiction has been shot on this set, here there is a great industry in which dreams are made," said Luca Bernabei.

Then Federica Gentile, after snooping around the set, connected during "Miseria e Nobiltà" on RTL 102.5 along with Can Yaman. "Today you've chosen the most hectic day we've had so far, we have to go to Palermo and we have to tighten our schedule. We had to stop for some reasons and today until 9pm we have to work," said Can Yaman. "I'm fine, we work hard but I feel very good and I enjoy working," Can Yaman related.

The actor is very loved by the audience. "The affection for me is beautiful, I am very grateful," he said. "I feel I am really Italian, I went to an Italian high school in Istanbul, I learned Italian when I was a child. In my series in Turkey, we used to do scenes where Italian was spoken, so the Italian fans became even more attached."

CAN YAMAN'S BOOK AND THE RELATIONSHIP WITH HIS PARENTS

Titled "It Feels Strange to Me Too," Can Yaman's new book is sending his fans (of which there are many) into a tizzy. "I am amazed every day of my life, it was a fitting title. The most beautiful part of this job is that every day something happens that amazes you, you wake up in the morning and you are amazed, there is always adrenaline," he told Federica. In the book, Can Yaman also tells the story of his parents, who helped him. "I talk about them, who helped me starting from childhood. I talk about them in the book, I am a combination of the two of them," Can Yaman told.

RTL 102.5 listeners went wild with thousands of questions that came in from all over the world. And many asked when his book would be translated into Spanish. "I don't know, first in the Italian market and then they will translate. We are not in a hurry," replied the actor. "I'm sorry more fans can't read it but we'll get there," the actor replied.

CAN YAMAN AND ITALIAN CULTURE

Why is Can Yaman so attracted to Italian culture? "Istanbul is a city, a bridge, a place that connects Eastern countries and Europe. I dreamed of being a citizen of the world, I had learned English and I wanted to learn another language, my mother wanted it so much. We have many foreign high schools in Istanbul, Italian is rarer, but by that year I already had so much respect for the Italian people. So, wanting to learn another language I chose Italian," said Can Yaman.

This is the first time Can Yaman is acting completely in our language. "It was a challenge and a turning point for me. I will also be acting in English soon, it will be a year full of challenges. I came in January and I think I have improved my Italian. The other day even Chillemi told me that I have improved so much, we have also worked a lot with my coach, doing a lot of tongue twisters," he recounted. "There are some vowels that don't exist in Turkish, and she helped me a lot."

This is also the first time in the role of a policeman. "It's a character I've always felt inside me, a very serious character, a hard worker, he always has a joke, especially with women. I love playing him, he will definitely rock," said Can Yaman. "Francesca and I get along very well.

Is the Italian working method different from the Turkish one? "Very different. We begin very early and finish very late in Turkey, we work very hard. Here there are more rules to respect, but Turkey has made it possible for the sector to develop so much," said Can Yaman. "In one week we finish an episode that lasts 150 minutes, abroad it is sold and divided into three." "Here 12 episodes we finish in about six months and it airs later. There are differences, but in the end we are equal on other things. If you're an actor you quickly adapt."

FAN QUESTIONS ABOUT ITALY

What is Can Yaman's fondest memory of being in Italy? "When we started the set we shot a couple of weeks in Rome and then we left for Palermo. This departure felt like a vacation," the actor said. "We went back to childhood a little bit, where we created harmony and built relationships. We ate every day together and developed this relationship in my opinion very important," he said. "I feel very Italianate, I have a family here - I'm focused on my work, I want to work well," Can Yaman said. "Life is full of surprises anyway, but for now I'm doing great."

In five years, how does Can Yaman see himself? "I try to live it well. I'll be doing Sandokan and this TV series Viola come il mare, which will last a while. Final greetings with Luca Bernabei: "I'm happy that the public has had the opportunity to get to know Francesca Chillemi and Can Yaman better: something that never happens because no one ever comes in here".

The interview concludes with a promise: on the occasion of "Viola Come Il Mare" on RTL 102.5, Radio Zeta, and RTL 102.5 News, there will be a #ViolaComeIlMareDay to introduce and follow the series together with the protagonists.
