Can Yaman, Disney Plus rumor: the series will be called 'El Turco'

Disney Plus is preparing for good the return of Can Yaman in a Turkish TV Series. After the indiscretion that spoke of the actor's contract for a production with the digital platform, soon to be released, the title of the series has been leaked from the Turkish press. Apparently, it will be called "El turco" and is scheduled to be filmed in his homeland in the summer of 2022.

Coming up with news about the "dizi" that Can Yaman will shoot for Disney Plus and reporting it is TV expert Birsen Altuntaş. According to the latest rumors, the series would already have a name, in fact it could be titled "El Turco". As it was already known for quite some time, at the side of Can Yaman there could be "a world-famous actress". There is no name in the balance, but apparently, it won't be long before we find out.

There has also been some news regarding the setup. Originally, filming was supposed to begin in April, but due to Can Yaman's commitments in Italy with Viola come il mare, the series production start for the digital platform has consequently slipped. There is talk of filming beginning in July and at the moment it is not known how long it will last and more importantly, how Can Yaman will divide his commitments with another set that will see him as a protagonist, the one of Sandokan.

The series will be produced by Ay Yapım, a production company known for having created other successful dramas such as Cesur ve Güzel (Brave and Beautiful, ed). Written by Kerem Deren, the series will be directed by Uluç Bayraktar.

Viola come il mare preview at Bifest

When will Viola come il mare start? At the moment, the date of the debut on Canale 5 is still unknown. In the meantime, some fans will have the chance to see a few episodes in preview during Bifest, the international film and television festival that will take place from March 26 to April 2 in Bari.

During the event, the series will be previewed by the director of Fiction Mediaset, and it is not yet known if the protagonists, Can Yaman and Francesca Chillemi, will be present at the preview.

Viola come il mare tells the story of Viola, a journalist who decides to return to Sicily, her homeland, to deal with crime news. Thanks to her intuition she will try to find the truth in the murder cases that mark the days of the city of Palermo.

During her journey, she will meet Chief Inspector Francesco Demir and the girl will do everything possible to collaborate with him, but it will not be so easy, because Francesco is very charming, but has a rather unpredictable character.
