Can Yaman, Mediaset cancels Viola come il mare from the April schedule: it's moving to autumn

What happened to Viola come il mare, the drama starring Can Yaman announced on Canale 5's spring schedule?

This is the question that many fans and supporters of the Turkish actor are asking themselves, who have been anxiously asking for weeks to see this new drama starring the most beloved Turkish star of the moment.

Apparently, however, the actor's fans will have to be patient for a while longer, as they will have to wait until autumn 2022 to see the drama Viola come il mare on air.

Mediaset cancels the drama with Can Yaman from the April schedule

In detail, the airing of Viola come il mare, at first, was scheduled to begin in mid-March, on Wednesday evenings. At the last minute, however, the decision was made to change the schedule, as Mediaset chose to focus on the new people's show "Ultima Fermata", hosted by Simona Ventura and produced by Maria De Filippi's production company, which, however, is not shining in terms of ratings.

Can Yaman's fans were waiting for the airing of the fiction for the month of April but, in the end, this will not be the case. According to Blasting News, Mediaset has decided to cancel the drama Viola come il mare from Canale 5's April schedule. The drama with Can Yaman, therefore, will no longer be aired in this spring TV season but will slip to next fall 2022.

When does Viola come aired with Can Yaman?

At the moment, however, the exact month of programming of the six episodes that make up the first season of Viola come il mare is still unknown.

The series could make its debut in September, but it is possible that it could be postponed until later in the fall season, perhaps when there will be a larger audience in front of the small screen.

But why has it been postponed from spring to fall? Although filming has been finished for a few weeks and the drama Viola come il mare is now ready, Mediaset preferred to preserve this product, after the flop in the ratings of the drama "Più forti del destino".

This is why they have postponed the fiction with Can Yaman

The series with Laura Chiatti and Loretta Goggi, during the weeks of airing, recorded an average of just 2.4 million viewers, falling below the threshold of 12% share.

Worrying numbers that, for the moment, have prompted the Biscione management to put aside the TV series with Can Yaman (on which they are betting heavily).

However, next May 13, will debut on Canale 5 the new fiction starring Raoul Bova entitled "Justice at all costs", aired for six nights.
