Can Yaman pulled off by Luca Argentero: 'Doc 3 top project, Sandokan in question'

What happened to the remake of Sandokan with Can Yaman? For some time now, in fact, there has been no talk of this new super-project that would have starred the Turkish actor, a super-star in Italy after the success of several afternoon soap operas.

According to the magazine directed by Signoretti, Sandokan's production company has chosen to put the project on hold and the reason may have to do with Luca Argentero, who would have made out Can Yaman, after the success of his medical fiction.

The awaited remake of Sandokan starring Can Yaman at risk

In detail, last year was announced the remake of Sandokan, the successful fiction that in the 80s starred Kabir Bedi and which this time would have starred Can Yaman as the "tiger of Malaysia".

The project, initially announced, was then postponed until a later date due to the delicate situation dictated by Covid-19.

The filming was then postponed to this summer 2022 but, in the end, even this time could jump permanently. To reveal the background on what is happening behind the scenes of this fiction was the weekly magazine directed by Riccardo Signoretti.

The production of Sandokan is carried out by the Lux Vide production company, the same company that produces hits such as Doc - Nelle tue mani and Che Dio ci aiuti.

Luca Argentero pulls out Can Yaman: here's why

Apparently, the extraordinary success of the second season of Doc with Luca Argentero, would have pushed the production company to focus on this project, putting aside the long-awaited remake of Sandokan with Can Yaman.

"The fiction with Luca Argentero has been so successful that it has become Lux Vide's top project," writes the magazine, then confirming that the revisiting of Sandokan would be in question.

Argentero himself, who was initially announced to take part in the remake of the drama with Can Yaman, could not take part in the filming in Thailand this summer, as he will be back on the set of Doc 3 - Nelle tue mani.

Doc 3 - In Your Hands would take precedence over Sandokan with Turkish actor

"Not being able to double Argentero, Lux Vide would have decided to give the proceeding to the project, which will surely bring in big money," writes again the magazine directed by Signoretti adding that to put up a "colossal" like Sandokan, it would take a lot of money.

In short, for the moment, the fiction with Can Yaman seems to be in stand-by as well as the first season of "Viola come il mare", the Mediaset series in which he is the protagonist together with Francesca Chillemi has been postponed until next fall.
