Famous actress Serenay Sarıkaya was assaulted by her fan, Tayfur Demirtaş, 26, who was obsessed with her as she entered her home in Etiler with her driver on Jan. 20, after being insulted and threatened.

In the investigation opened after the player's complaint, Tayfur Demirtaş said that he and Serenay Sarıkaya were soul mates and said, "I feel and think that I and her are equal in the eyes of Allah. I have the same clothes she used to wear. I will try again by all the ways I used to meet her. He stated that he was obsessed with the famous actress saying, "I will go wherever she is until she places me in front of her and talks

After his statement, Tayfur Demirtaş was transferred to a psychiatric hospital by the custody court and it was decided to place him under observation. Serenay Sarıkaya also ordered a two-month suspension for Tayfur Demirtaş, who was sent to the psychiatric hospital for attacking her car with heavy insults and threats.

Demirtaş, who was invited to be kept under observation for 3 weeks on Jan. 24, was given a decision for observation for another 2 months after the court's request. After the observation made by the hospital, a report was kept that Demirtaş had a problem of non-organic psychotic disorder and that he had an atypical psychosis during his crimes against the famous actress, which means that he was disconnected from the real world and could not grasp reality.

In the report, it was noted that Demirtaş had no criminal capacity. The investigation conducted by the Istanbul Prosecutor General's Office was recently completed. Serenay Sarıkaya has refused to compromise with her obsessed fan with the reports.

While a complaint was filed against Tayfur Demirtaş for "disturbing the peace and tranquility of people and threats," the prosecutor's office demanded specific security measures for the mentally ill for the young man.
