Can Yaman will not come to Turkey!

Can Yaman will play the lead role of the series with the same name, which will be adapted from Orhan Yeniaras' novel "El Turco", for which Ay Yapım bought the rights.

Can Yaman, who has been continuing his career in Italy for a while, was expected to return to Turkey for the filming of the series, which will meet with the audience on Disney Plus. However, it has now become clear that the actor, who continues to live entirely in Italy, will not come to Turkey.

The filming of "El Turco", which tells a half fictional and half real story, will take place in Italy and Croatia. The series is about his settlement in the village of Moena in Italy after the 2nd Siege of Vienna and his liberation of the village against the overlords.

In the historical fiction novel "El Turco" by Orhan Yeniaras, Ottoman Intelligence Officer Balaban Aga, who was found wounded by the Moenans during the Siege of Vienna II, settles in this village and organizes a successful peasant uprising against the overlords who extort the people. 

The series will be directed by Uluç Bayraktar and written by Kerem Deren.
