It's official: Demet Özdemir will be the main protagonist of Dünyayla Benim Aramda (Between the World and Me, ed.), the series produced by Disney+ and available on the official platform soon. The confirmation came directly from the film company's social profiles; alongside Demet confirmed to be Buğra Gülsoy.
For several months the news has been circulating as a rumor launched by Birsen Altuntaş, but now it is official, Demet Özdemir will be the official star, along with Buğra Gülsoy, of the new Disney+ series Dünyayla Benim Aramda.
The confirmation came in the morning of June 9 from the company's social profiles, where some shots were posted directly from the set, also starring Hafsanur Sancaktutan and Zerrin Tekindor.
The post is accompanied by the caption "My problem is neither with him nor with anything else, my problem is only between the world and me." At the moment, the date when the series will be released on Disney+ has not yet been made official; the company has deferred viewing to fans to a "coming soon."
Disney+ debuts in Turkey on June 14
Disney+ is preparing to launch its digital platform in Turkey, the debut is scheduled for Tuesday, June 14, and apparently, it will be celebrated in style.
According to rumors in Tersane, an Istanbul neighborhood dubbed "the new downtown," an exclusive party will be held to celebrate the arrival of Disney+ in Turkey.
The party could apparently be attended by three faces particularly beloved by Italian audiences, namely Can Yaman, Demet Özdemir, and Hande Erçel, and curiosity is rising among fans to see the two protagonists of Erkenci Kuş together publicly after a long time.

Disney+ has also prepared a promotional campaign, called Disney Effects, which starting June 15 will feature Turkish actors who have signed a contract with the digital platform as protagonists in various commercials: among the various faces will be Hande Erçel, Demet Özdemir, Can Yamam, Cansu Dere, Halit Ergenç, Engin Akyürek, and Aras Bulut İynemli.
Meanwhile, rumors of a possible collaboration between Can Yaman and Hande Erçel in the upcoming series El Turco continue to grow stronger. Apparently, the set could be set right in Italy, in Trentino Alto Adige, in the small town of Moena, and could tell the legend of a Turkish soldier who escaped from an Austrian army's clutches during the siege of Vienna and managed to find refuge and warmth in this small town in the Fassa Valley.
