It has finally been revealed why the new and unexpected filming of Viola Come il Mare took place last July. Fans of Can Yaman and Francesca Chillemi were pleasantly surprised by the event, especially those who were in those days on the same beach that served as the set. Many thought it was new scenes to be added to the Mediaset drama, but it actually turned out to be a commercial for the upcoming arrival of the series.
Viola Come il Mare, Can Yaman provokes Francesca Chillemi: "Come for a swim ... Miss Italy?"
The shoot, which took place last July and saw Can Yaman and Francesca Chillemi return to the set of Viola Come il Mare, filled fans with questions. In fact, many were not explaining about the return of the two actors to the set since the filming of the Mediaset drama officially ended last spring.
The answer came just in the last few hours, and the audience could not be more excited about it. After the trailer for the drama, a commercial was released on Mediaset's social accounts: the one for which Can Yaman and Francesca Chillemi returned to the shoes of their characters in Viola Come il Mare in recent days.
The commercial for Viola Come il Mare has been released!
The commercial opens with a slow shot of Francesca Chillemi as she is lying on a sunbed at the beach intent on doing crossword puzzles. Next to her umbrella, giving answers diametrically opposed to hers in a provocative manner, is of course Can Yaman. The two have a squabble, which thanks to the drama's trailer we know will be neither the first nor the last between their characters, ending up with a lot of winking at the audience.
Indeed, this is one of those commercials in which the protagonists of the dramas talk directly to the audience, often crossing the line between fiction and reality. We see him doing just that to Can Yaman, as Chief Inspector Francesco Demir, asking Francesca Chillemi's character if she will join him in the water by telling her "Come take a bath ... Miss Italy?", which as the audience knows is the title the actress won in 2003.
To this winking joke, however, Chillemi does not relent and responds with a scornful "Viola! My name is Viola!" then turning toward the lens to wish the audience a good summer and reassure them that they will see each other again very soon.
