We are very close to airing the new Mediaset drama, Viola Come il Mare. After much anticipation, audiences are now literally counting down the days for the series that will star Francesca Chillemi and Can Yaman. Yet the latter himself seems ready to cancel fans' countdown, pushing them even further by talking about the second season of the drama! But it is not as it seems...
Can Yaman on Instagram: "If there will be a second season..."
Viola Come il Mare seems to have not even started in time that it is already creating expectations for a hypothetical second season, but in fact it is all Can Yaman's "fault." Some time ago, in fact, the Turkish actor posted on his Instagram profile a funny two-way interview, in which the compatibility between the actor and his colleague and star of the drama, Francesca Chillemi, was tested.
Needless to remark how much the video stirred up fans, especially those who started rooting for the Yaman-Chillemi couple. But what perhaps excited admirers, even more, was the description of the video entered by Can Yaman, which reads:
"We get there with compatibility. If there will be a second season it will be 100% for sure."
Obviously, Can Yaman spoke hypothetically... As however, it is equally obvious that unless it is a miniseries or the ratings turn out to be remarkably low, it is rare for Mediaset to make a drama without the goal of carrying it for more than one season. In short, the series has yet to begin, but it was enough just to mention a possible sequel to Viola Come il Mare in passing that fans started a new countdown!
