The arrival of Can Yaman and Francesca Chillemi at the 79th edition of the International Film Festival was definitely eventful. In fact, the two actors starring in Viola Come il Mare received a warm welcome from fans, who followed them step by step as soon as they landed on the Venice Lido. Waiting for them, and also making the moment a bit awkward, were also numerous photographers, who asked the two for a press kiss.
A redundant topic when talking about Can Yaman and Francesca Chillemi is in fact often the nature of their relationship, for a long time the subject of numerous gossip. The two actors also addressed the issue during an interview at DopoCinema, an event organized by Cosmopolitan held at the Hotel Des Bains. On this occasion, Can Yaman wanted to make some clarifications, probably in reference to the aforementioned gossip, standing up for his colleague and making yet another appeal to his female audience:
"So guys I have to ask you something, you must love Francesca (Chillemi)," Can Yaman began, "because I am fed up with the fact that the female audience that follows me attacks every woman I interface with.
In vain were Chillemi's attempts to downplay the incident, even going somewhat against the words of Can Yaman, who, however, continued undaunted to defend her and to value his colleague's work, emphasizing her talent and humility.
