Can Yaman, polemics, and criticism on Viola come il mare: 'Bad acting, bad drama'

Can Yaman is back on the air on Canale 5 with Viola come il mare. On Friday night, Sept. 30, in prime time, there was the debut of this new TV series destined to win over the Mediaset TV audience even though, on the web and social media, there has been quite a bit of criticism and controversy against the series.

Many have pointed the finger at the acting level of Yaman, believing that in his place should have been "any" other Italian actor, who deserved to take part in this new TV project.

Controversy and harsh criticism against Can Yaman

In detail, Can Yaman is back on the air in prime time on Canale 5 with the drama Viola come il mare: a product particularly awaited by viewers and fans of the Turkish star, since at first the series had been announced for last spring and finally postponed to the fall period.

This is the first series in which, Yaman acts completely in Italian accompanied by Francesca Chillemi, one of the new stars of Italian fiction, already starring in prime time in Che Dio ci aiuti, the Rai 1 series, alongside Elena Sofia Ricci.

In short, a new couple destined to win big TV ratings even if, after the first episode of the drama, there was no shortage of criticism and polemics against the Turkish actor.

'He only makes television because he is good-looking,' polemics over Can Yaman after Viola Come il mare

Can Yaman's acting was soundly rejected by most of the users who followed and commented on the debut episode of Viola come il mare, which will have to contend with the return on Rai 1 of Tale e quale show, the Friday night variety show hosted by Carlo Conti with the participation of Cristiano Malgioglio on the jury.

"Can Yaman acts worse than soap opera actors. He only makes television because he is the hottie of the moment," one user commented after seeing the Turkish star at work in this new TV product on Canale 5.

"A slap in the face to meritocracy, there will be at least 150 better Italian actors!" continued yet another social commenter who had no problem in flunking Can Yaman and his new drama.

'Bad fiction, failed,' blurted out fans of Viola come il mare.

"Being handsome does not mean being good. Can Yaman's acting is terrible. Chillemi instead should avoid bringing Azzurra Leonardi to Mediaset," another social user sentenced, moving his criticism against Viola come il mare.

"Very bad fiction. Failed in everything, from acting to dialogues to everything else, as it was already widely understood since the commercial," wrote instead another social user talking about the Mediaset drama.
