The actor told Hakan Gence how his perspective on life has changed over the years: "When you build your life on planning, you get depressed when something goes wrong. Now I am completely in the flow, I accept every process. In my life, ambition has been replaced by the word perseverance. I could make more aggressive decisions or postpone them more, I've toned them down."

Stating that love letters were left under his desk during his student years, Alp Navruz said, "I was never romantic even then. I'm more of a realist. I'm attracted to intelligence and good humor. A good look and a good smile also impress me."
