The group Blackpink earned 100 billion won in just two months of their world tour. They are the girl group with the highest revenue from a single tour worldwide.
On the 21st (local time), US concert tour box office aggregator Touring Data introduced Blackpink as the group with the highest all-time sales from their 'Born Pink' ticket revenue.
'Born Pink' is Blackpink's second world tour. So far, they have performed 26 concerts and mobilized a total of 366,248 people to generate approximately $78,485,210 (about 104.8 billion won) in revenue. About 41.6 billion won went into the YG building, which is enough to build more than two buildings.
The previous record was held by the legendary British girl group Spice Girls. In 2019, the Spice Girls earned $78.2 million (104.4752 billion won) from 11 world tours.
Blackpink is currently on their Asian tour after completing their European and North American tours. Starting with a concert in Bangkok in January, they have successfully completed concerts in Hong Kong, Riyadh, Abu Dhabi, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Kaohsiung, Manila, and Tokyo.
Mexico, Singapore, Macau, Osaka, Melbourne, and Sydney are also scheduled and they plan to hold encore concerts in Europe and Bangkok. The expected audience is about 1.5 million and the expected revenue exceeds 300 billion won.
