The Turkish TV star continues to recover from his herniated disc surgery while advancing his production company's upcoming projects.
Love is in the air continues to be the most successful Turkish series in Spain. The love story between Serkan and Eda has crossed borders, captivating viewers all over the world, including the United States. A place that Kerem Bürsin knows very well, as he spent a large part of his childhood and youth there. Although it was in the United States where Bürsin began to make his first steps as an actor, he is now an international star, since the successful Turkish fiction has been a truly global phenomenon, also on the other side of the Atlantic and especially in Latin America.
As he revealed in a famous interview he gave last summer to Ibrahim Selim's program on YouTube, one of the things he was doing during his time in the United States was working as a chauffeur in Los Angeles. It was not his only job there, as Bürsin has also revealed that he was working as a personal trainer and valet parking, but it is especially noteworthy because the main anecdote he shares from his time as a driver is that he was the chauffeur of a big Hollywood star: Margot Robbie.
Back then, as Bürsin explained, Margot Robbie wasn't Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad nor had she been nominated for a Best Actress Oscar for "I, Tonya," but he remembers perfectly because she was just starting to become well-known. "I was taking actors in a company for €75 a day. I was taking foreign actors to places they wanted to go. I was told that Margot Robbie was coming, I don't know if she was famous at the time," confessed the successful actor.
"She was going to a casting. We were with her for two weeks. Then she left. She would come back later and already become famous."
Bürsin also worked as a waiter while trying to make a name for himself in the audiovisual world. The Turkish actor settled in Los Angeles to fulfill his dream while he trained and did several projects as an actor in some American TV movies. However, his first important role was in his native country. It was with günesi beklerken, that Bürsin conquered Turkey, but he almost abandoned it because of the language. After such a long time away from the Ottoman country, the interpreter needed classes to become fluent in Turkish.
Today Kerem Bürsin is a Turkish star on the rise and has a huge following on social media, but he started small with small roles and he never forgets his past, which he is proud of and often recounts in interviews. "I spent my childhood abroad. We were always building a new life. The advantage is that no matter where you are in the world. And the human pattern is the same." After the end of Love is in the Air, a world of possibilities opened up in front of Bürsin, who is not afraid of anything and is willing to go wherever his dreams take him. For the time being, she continues with her production company's projects while recovering from a herniated disc operation.
