Actress Hilal Altınbilek traveled to Mexico and Panama as a guest of Turkish Airlines, contributing to the recognition of both Turkey and Turkish TV series in North and South America.
Hilal Altınbilek, who has a fan base in many countries outside of Turkey due to her success in the hit series "Bir Zamanlar Çukurova" in which she starred for four seasons, attended events held in Mexico and Panama last week. Altınbilek, the first official Turkish actress to visit Panama, was met with great enthusiasm from her fans.
"It is an honor to see such intense interest in our TV series thousands of kilometers away from Turkey," said Altınbilek, adding, "I witnessed firsthand how effective Turkish TV series are in contributing to Turkey's tourism, and I am once again proud of my profession and everyone involved in our series." The actress experienced emotional moments when a host mentioned during an interview that children in Panama were named after Altınbilek's character Züleyha in the series after it began airing. Fatih Aksoy, a board member of the Turkish Exporters Assembly, also attended the events.
Last Wednesday, Altınbilek traveled to Milan to participate in the Verissimo program broadcasted on Italy's Canal 5. Immediately after the shooting, she flew to Mexico without delay.
