Burak Deniz was sued for insulting Nilperi Şahinkaya.

The decision regarding Nilperi Şahinkaya's complaint against Burak Deniz has been made.

On September 15, 2022, during the filming of the series "Şahmaran" in Adana, Burak Deniz went to a table at the Adana Grand Sheraton Hotel where his colleague Nilperi Şahinkaya and her friends were present, and after a conversation, an altercation occurred, which led to legal action. In her complaint to the Adana Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Şahinkaya stated that she was subjected to insults by Burak Deniz, and her friend Necmi Deniz Akıncı also filed a complaint of both insult and assault.

After examining the statements of the parties and the testimony of the witness Nilperi Şahinkaya's boyfriend Emre Yusufi, as well as the security camera recordings of the incident at the hotel, the prosecution made its decision. Burak Deniz, represented by his lawyers Serdar Opak and Seçkin Bayraktar, will be tried for the public insult against Nilperi Şahinkaya and the public insult as well as attempted simple assault against Necmi Deniz. 

The court ruled that Burak Deniz will be tried at the Adana 33rd Criminal Court, facing a total of 7 years and 2 months in prison. The prosecution decided that there was no place for prosecution on the charge of disturbing the peace and tranquility of individuals.
