The shooting for the second season of "Viola come il mare" has officially begun. Lux Vide's official Twitter account shared a pic of the first take of the highly popular light crime fiction's second chapter. The photo features the protagonists Can Yaman (Francesco Demir) and Francesca Chillemi (Viola Vitale), actor Giovanni Nasta (Turi D'Agata), and Lux Vide's CEO Luca Bernabei. The TV series will air on Canale 5 in 2024.

Can Yaman: "We are pumped up"

On his Instagram profile, the Turkish actor wanted to share his thoughts with his followers about the start of "Viola come il mare 2" filming: "The first season will always hold a special place in my heart for many reasons, and it was a unique experience," wrote the actor in his post. "Today, filming for the second season has begun, and the emotions, the colors, and the passion that I have perceived suggest that it will be all wonderful! We are pumped up, go team! Good luck to all of us..."

How the first season of "Viola come il mare" ended

In the last episode of the first season, Viola (Francesca Chillemi) continues to search for clues about her identity and, despite being shaken by Don Andrea's behavior, becomes passionate about the case of a man looking for his missing daughter, Dalila. Francesco Demir (Can Yaman) continues to investigate human trafficking and follows the lead of a mole, which might be misleading the investigation.
