Serkan Çayoğlu, who will soon return to the screen with the series "Kader Bağları" made candid remarks in an interview with Hürriyet.
Here are some highlights from the interview with the actor who was a guest on Hakan Gence's show:
- I always took the first steps. I pursued Özge Gürel quite persistently. We joke, saying, "I surrounded her so tightly that she had nowhere to go. My plan worked."
- I proposed at home. We were in pajamas. Özge had a face mask on. It was a lot of fun.
- I've been into sports all my life; it's a routine in my life. I work in front of the camera, so I pay attention to how I look. I like to stay fit. I want to look stylish when I wear clothes.
- I was born in Germany. We spoke Turkish at home and lived Turkish culture. But when we went out, we tried to live like Germans. I grew up with that discipline, just like a German.
- After finishing school, I didn't have the idea of coming to Turkey to become an actor. I came for modeling. I thought I would stay in Turkey for a little while.
- There is something called the German accent, and it's not easy to get rid of it. I worked hard, took diction lessons, watched movies, and read books. They used to say, "Read aloud." I would read books like crazy in front of a white wall by myself.
- I'm a Gemini, and when I fixate on something, whether it's good or bad, it has to happen. I can sometimes get myself into a stress mode for no reason.
