Ryu Junyeol and Hyeri, who have been in a 7-year relationship, have decided to part ways, putting an end to marriage rumors. The reasons for the breakup have surprised those close to them.

Ryu Jun-yeol and Hye-ri, a representative long-term couple in the entertainment industry, have decided to part ways after 7 years of dating.

On the 13th, both agencies of Ryu Jun-yeol and Hye-ri confirmed to Sports News, "It is true that they recently broke up."

Ryu Jun-yeol and Hye-ri first became close friends after working together on the 2015 drama "Reply 1988" and later evolved into lovers. Their on-screen romance that translated into a real-life relationship garnered much support from fans.

Having continued their relationship for seven years, they presented a strong affection as an official celebrity couple. The news of their separation is particularly disheartening given the length of their relationship.

According to Sports News' investigation, Hye-ri spent an extended period away from Ryu Junyeol last summer while filming the movie "Victory" on Geoje Island. This prolonged separation led to speculation about their breakup. However, acquaintances of the two denied this, saying, "No, they are doing well. In fact, they have been together for a long time, and some even suggested that they might get married soon."

Later, rumors of marriage surfaced as Hye-ri was misunderstood to be preparing for marriage during her process of independence. This led to simultaneous denials of both breakup and marriage rumors by their respective agencies.

Nevertheless, signs of trouble persisted. Hyeri was frequently seen traveling alone abroad, reigniting breakup speculations. Close acquaintances could no longer deny it. Ultimately, the two spent a considerable time apart, their relationship faded, and they recently decided to end their romantic involvement, choosing to support each other as colleagues.

On another note, Ryu Jun-yeol is scheduled to release the second part of the movie alienoid  in January 2024, while Hye-ri plans to meet the audience through her upcoming film "Victory."
