Çağatay Ulusoy Returns to TV Screens with 'Gaddar' – What is the Plot?

Ay Yapım's upcoming series, "Gaddar," is poised to captivate audiences on FOX very soon. Starring Çağatay Ulusoy, Sümeyye Aydoğan, and Onur Saylak, along with a stellar cast including Erdal Özyağcılar, Laçin Ceylan, Hakan Salınmış, Müge Bayramoğlu, Deniz Özerman, Neslihan Yeldan, Fatih Berk Şahin, Aytek Şayan, Musab Ekici, and Uğur Yıldıran, the series is eagerly anticipated.

"Gaddar" brings Çağatay Ulusoy back to television after a considerable hiatus, portraying Dağhan, a soldier serving in the East. After two years away from his hometown and experiencing some traumatic events, he returns to take a break. However, upon his return to the neighborhood, he finds nothing as he left it. His estranged girlfriend Aydan has disappeared, leaving Dağhan, who shares a passionate love with her, feeling incomplete even when they are apart. Not being able to find her takes a toll on Dağhan.

His family has fallen apart—his sister eloped with someone, his brother dropped out of school and got involved in illicit activities, and his parents are estranged. Dağhan, unbeknownst to him, was the glue holding everything together, and everything fell apart in his absence. The neighborhood has changed as well, with shady characters taking over, and his old friends getting involved in various illegal activities. In this chaotic environment, a figure known as "Müdür" (The Director) emerges, offering Dağhan a job.

Although Dağhan vehemently rejects the offer to become a "hitman," he finds himself in trouble when he agrees to do it to protect his best friend Samet. When Samet dies, Dağhan accepts the job to repay Samet's debt to the Director; otherwise, Samet's child and wife will die. His psychological state worsens after discovering Aydan's affair with another man, shattering his dreams of winning her back. Realizing that his family and loved ones are in danger due to the work he's involved in, Dağhan decides that he must become even more ruthless if he wants to continue both his job and protecting his loved ones.
