The actress Hulya Duyar reveals that she is the one who discovered Hande Erçel.

Hülya Duyar, the chef of Yalı Çapkını's Şefika, was a guest on the Bambaşka Sohbetler program hosted by Ceyda Düvenci on NTV during weekdays.

Duyar explained how she discovered Hande Erçel and Meryem Uzerli with these words:

"My dear Meral (Meral Okay) told me, 'Hülyacığım, look for a no name, an unknown actress.' Because I was working as a casting director and executive producer in Germany, it was my profession... I was doing the casting for Tatar Ramazan. Hande was a friend of a friend. She had never acted before, but when I met her, I really liked her. We cast her as a guest actress for 3 episodes in Tatar Ramazan. I had requested the director, and Hande witnessed that request. I wanted her to be part of the main cast, but it didn't happen. She played as a guest actress for 3 episodes. She wanted to be an actress, so I directed her to my manager at that time, and we always stayed in touch."
