Can Yaman has been making his fans wait, as he deactivated his Instagram profile and stopped updating his followers since he began filming the new Lux Vide production Sandokan. The character he plays, the Tiger of Malaysia, has been keeping him very busy, but finally, filming of the remake of the 1970s series is almost over. Recently, the actor appeared in a new interview, where he shared his excitement about the new TV project.

The filming of  Sandokan will leave Italy for a few weeks. The cast and crew will move to Reunion Island, where they will finish shooting the new episodes that will air soon on Rai Uno. The Turkish star is acting alongside a truly international cast, including Alessandro Preziosi and Ed Westwick, known for his role in Gossip Girl. For Yaman, playing the Tiger of Malaysia is a very demanding role, as it required him to be in excellent physical condition. The actor even decided to deactivate his Instagram account to better focus on his role.

His fans, however, continue to miss him but are trying to support him, understanding how important this new project is for him. In a recent interview with Rai News, the actor expressed how emotional he feels about his character in Sandokan. In the heartfelt interview, he talked about the role of the Tiger of Malaysia, a character he seems to have fully embraced. But what is his Sandokan like?

"A man who suffers, but this has made him strong: he never gives up. He dreams of making life better for others. When it seems like he’s doing something bad, we see that it’s actually for a good reason. He is an example, an inspiration for everyone, especially children. He is a complete man, and when everyone looks at him, they should want to be like him. You have to be worthy to play him."
