Can Yaman: How Much Does He Earn for "Sandokan"?
The remake of "Sandokan," the beloved 1970s television series with Kabir Bedi as the lead, inspired by Emilio Salgari’s narrative cycle, has finally taken shape, with the first official take occurring a few days ago. As initially announced, Can Yaman will be the new Tiger of Malaysia in this Lux Vide production. Joining him will be Alessandro Preziosi as Yanez de Gomera, and American actor Ed Westwick as the antagonist Lord Brooke, along with a prominent international cast that seems to have developed a good synergy with the Turkish actor.
Yaman, who recently revealed information about a betrayal, is filled with high expectations and enthusiasm. He has prepared intensely for this role and aims to deliver the best possible performance, aware of the impact the original version with Kabir Bedi had on the Italian audience. "Sandokan" will be distributed internationally and aired on Rai 1. However, everyone is curious about the earnings of the most beloved Turkish star, given that this role could potentially make or break his career.
The latest news on Yaman’s salary for "Sandokan" dates back a few years. In 2021, when the project was officially announced before a long hiatus, the magazine Nello reported that Can’s salary would be 100,000 euros per episode. This is a substantial amount, but considering Yaman’s growing popularity in recent years due to productions like "Viola come il mare" and "El Turco" as well as his numerous television appearances, his salary could be even higher. Moreover, Can had to undergo a significant physical transformation and train rigorously in various disciplines such as dance, fighting, and horse riding, making it unlikely that he would settle for a low salary.
