In a recent interview, Can Yaman opened up about the significance of loyalty and his reaction to betrayal while discussing "Viola come il Mare 2."
The Turkish actor, currently in the media spotlight for his latest television projects, shared his thoughts on the evolution of his character Francesco Demir, and his personal views on loyalty.
Can Yaman Discusses the New Francesco Demir
After spending many months in Sicily for top-secret filming, and amidst some scandals yet receiving strong public support from fans, the second season of "Viola come il Mare" has finally premiered on Canale 5, airing in prime time since Friday, May 3, 2025.
Can Yaman returns as Francesco Demir alongside Francesca Chillemi, with whom he recently set the web ablaze with some sultry photos. The two actors make a perfect pair on camera, showcasing undeniable chemistry, especially in this season where Chief Inspector Francesco Demir reveals a new and more complex side of himself, confronting feelings and sadness, as Yaman shared in a recent interview with La Stampa.
"I am convinced that it is fundamental After all, pain, like joy, is part of us. We smile when we are happy," he explained.
Can has worked hard to deepen Demir's character, mastering the script entirely in Italian without the need for post-production dubbing. He celebrated this achievement on Instagram, thanking his Italian language coach for helping him perfect the original script in both diction and interpretation.
Can Yaman Talks About Betrayal
In the second season of "Viola come il Mare," the theme of the father-son relationship will be even more prominent, as Francesco Demir embarks on a journey that will lead him to discover new aspects of himself. Can Yaman knows this theme well, and even now that he is in Italy, far from his family, he feels perfectly accepted and integrated, thanks in part to people like Maria De Filippi, who extended a hand to him from the start. He spoke about the values his parents instilled in him.
Although his parents separated when he was very young, Yaman admitted he learned to be a loyal man from them. Regarding how he deals with betrayal, he commented, "If I'm certain of it, I can become unmanageable." This could hint at past relationships, as the actor has never publicly discussed his breakup with Diletta Leotta and has always denied any romantic involvement with Demet Ozdemir, despite paparazzi photos and media speculation.
