Mehmet Ali Erbil criticized Kerem Bürsin, who hosted the Golden Globe ceremony where Sharon Stone received the 'Global Icon Award,' for speaking with his hands in his pockets: "It's beyond disrespectful, it's rude." Erbil also said that he did not like Bürsin's acting: "Does he think he's acting with his Americanized Turkish?"
This year, the Golden Globe awarded its first 'Global Icon Award.' The award was presented to world-renowned Hollywood star Sharon Stone at a ceremony held in Bodrum on August 2. The event was co-hosted by actors Kerem Bürsin and Büşra Pekin. However, Bürsin's behavior on stage, specifically putting his hands in his pockets, drew criticism from Mehmet Ali Erbil. The famous showman, who called into the "Beyaz Magazin" program, harshly criticized the young actor.
WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE!
Mehmet Ali Erbil said: "I have hosted important events for years. Not once did I host with my hands in my pockets. This is beyond disrespectful to the audience; it's rude. It's insecurity. I didn't learn this from my mentors. Do you remember a single photo of the late Halit Kıvanç or Erkan Yolaç with their hands in their pockets? We live in Turkey, we are part of Turkish culture, and we are respectful people. There are women, girls, and children there. Who do you think you are to host with your hands in your pockets? What does this show? It shows a lack of confidence."
DOES HE THINK HE'S ACTING?
Mehmet Ali Erbil also criticized Kerem Bürsin's acting. He said, "Is this job done with just English? You see his acting. Does he think he's acting with his half-baked, Americanized Turkish?"
