Can Yaman will attend the Mipcom Fair in France, continuing his acting career in Italy and making a name for himself with major projects.
The eagerly awaited series 'El Turco', which Can Yaman filmed for Disney Plus but later had its rights transferred to production company Ay Yapım after the platform briefly withdrew from the local market, is set to debut soon. Written by Kerem Deren and Çiçil Hazal Tenim, the series was shot in Hungary.
The cinematography was led by Tolga Kutluay, and the series was directed in English by acclaimed director Uluç Bayraktar. 'El Turco' tells the story of Ottoman soldier Hasan Balaban transforming into a folk hero in the 17th century in the town of Moeno, Italy. The first promotion of the series will take place at the Mipcom Fair in Cannes, France, on October 21 and 24.
Featuring actors from nine different countries, 'El Turco' stars Can Yaman in the lead role. He will attend a special event on October 21 at 6:00 PM at the Cannes Carlton Grand Salon. Excited about the promotion where the first images of the series—distributed globally by Madd Company—will be released, the handsome actor shared in his interview with Variety: "Filming 'El Turco' in Hungary was quite challenging and sometimes exhausting. I had to live like an athlete. I needed to acquire many skills like horse riding, using a sword perfectly, fighting, and so on. I had to brush up on my English, and considering it was a completely different genre with an international cast, I had to push myself to my limits as an actor overall. I'm looking forward to sharing this with the world."
