“Il Turco” Pulled from March Lineup on Canale 5
Originally scheduled to air on Thursday, March 27 and Friday, March 28, Il Turco was set to take over the prime-time slot usually held by Grande Fratello. The miniseries, featuring Can Yaman and Greta Ferro, has been heavily promoted in recent days, raising excitement among fans.
However, Mediaset has decided to postpone the premiere to a later, unknown date. There's no official word yet, but the show could be moved to April or even delayed until the autumn TV season.
Why Was “Il Turco” Postponed?
No specific reason has been given, but these last-minute changes suggest a possible strategic move by the network. In the meantime, fans will have to wait a bit longer to see Can Yaman in his next big role, following his success in Viola come il mare.
“Tradimento” Takes Over with Two Prime-Time Episodes
In place of Il Turco, Canale 5 will air two new episodes of the hit soap opera Tradimento.
- Thursday, March 27 – Special prime-time episode of Avanti un altro, the game show hosted by Paolo Bonolis.
- Friday, March 28 – New Tradimento episode airs around 9:30 PM.
- Sunday, March 30 – Another brand-new Tradimento episode closes out the weekend.
This means Tradimento will air twice in the same week in prime time, a rare treat for fans of the show.
Strong Ratings for the Turkish Drama “Tradimento”
Tradimento has proven to be a strong performer in Canale 5’s prime-time lineup.
Average viewers: Over 2.2 million per week
Audience share: Between 13% and 14%, with peaks up to 17%
Despite strong competition from Rai 1 dramas like Mina Settembre 3 and Imma Tataranni 4, Tradimento continues to hold its own, thanks to its loyal fan base and gripping storylines centered around the character Guzide.
