Tradimento airs again on Friday, March 28: El Turco with Can Yaman postponed to April

Thanks to its consistent success in ratings, Tradimento has become a kind of “wild card” for Canale 5. Mediaset isn’t just airing it regularly eight times a week—it’s also using the show to fill gaps in the schedule. In particular, Tradimento will air on Friday, March 28, a slot that was originally reserved for the miniseries El Turco, starring Can Yaman.

Tradimento replaces El Turco

Tradimento will air this Friday, March 28, in prime time instead of El Turco. The miniseries starring Can Yaman has been postponed yet again: it was originally set to premiere in February, then moved to March 27 and 28.

But Mediaset has now decided to air a special episode of Avanti un altro! – By Night with Paolo Bonolis on Thursday, and Tradimento on Friday.

As of now—unless there are more changes—El Turco is scheduled to air on Tuesday, April 8 and 15. As for Tradimento, Friday might become its new regular time slot, while Sunday will be taken over by Gerry Scotti with Lo show dei record. However, it's still unclear whether the schedule will stay this way or change again.

El Turco premieres abroad but is still on hold in Italy

Canale 5’s decision has sparked a reaction from Can Yaman and his Italian fans, who voiced their disappointment.

The controversy mainly stems from the fact that El Turco, a highly anticipated series, has already aired in countries like Romania and Brazil, while it’s still on hold in Italy. This raises concerns about spoilers, since fans have been waiting for the premiere since February.

Even Can Yaman didn’t hide his frustration.

In an Instagram story, he threw a rather explicit jab at the network:

"At this point, the situation is clear: they obviously really care. Changing the schedule at the last minute shows utmost professionalism. Thanks for the value you attribute to me; excellent promotion."

Obviously, he meant the exact opposite.

His sarcastic message quickly made the rounds on social media. Behind all this, the only possible explanation seems to be a battle over programming. What’s still unclear is whether all these delays mean Mediaset truly believes in the project and is trying to protect it from airing on tough nights—or if they’re actually pushing it to the background.
