The two acted together in Hangimiz Sevmedik, where Onat played Yaman’s mother. She recently reacted strongly to the removal of Yaman’s latest project from the GAİN platform.

In a heartfelt post, Gül Onat praised the actor she clearly holds in high regard, writing a touching message: “May God protect you.”

As fans know, Can Yaman last appeared in a Turkish TV series in Bay Yanlış before he permanently left the country. While in Turkey, he constantly stirred headlines with his bold statements and unpredictable behavior.

Yaman, who now lives and works in Italy, has become a huge star there. His interviews during the promotional tour for El Turco—his latest project—made waves not only in Italy but also back in Turkey.

El Turco, which briefly aired on the Turkish streaming platform GAİN, was abruptly pulled after public backlash to one of Yaman’s controversial comments where he praised Italy. The criticism was swift, and the platform responded by removing the series without warning.

Yaman, who appeared unfazed by the decision, responded indirectly by quoting Pope Francis—a pointed message clearly aimed at GAİN. 

And now, Gül Onat—whom fans fondly remember as Perihan Peri—has voiced her support.

She shared a throwback photo of herself hugging Can Yaman and added this message:

“My dear son Can, stay successful no matter what jealous people say. May God protect you.”

Fans quickly flooded the comments with warm messages, including the affectionate:
