Sandokan Is Coming Back for Season 2

After four months of filming, Can Yaman and the Sandokan cast have wrapped production, bringing back to the small screen the iconic adventure saga by Emilio Salgari. The series tells the story of the legendary pirate, originally portrayed in the 1970s by Bollywood star Kabir Bedi. The show is expected to premiere in fall 2025 on Rai 1, following the post-production phase. In the meantime, Can Yaman is scheduled to attend the Global Series Festival in Rimini and Riccione to present Sandokan alongside the rest of the cast.

This is an international production featuring a stellar cast, including Alessandro Preziosi as Yanez de Gomera, Ed Westwick as the villain Lord Brooke, and newcomer Alanah Bloor as Lady Marianne—the woman who inspires Sandokan to evolve from pirate to hero. There’s high anticipation surrounding this series, which could cement Yaman’s status as an international actor following his success in El Turco, where he played the Ottoman Janissary Hasan Balaban, opposite Italian actress Greta Ferro.
