Can Yaman has surprised his loyal fans by revealing a major life change that will see him leave his current home behind to pursue new personal and professional opportunities. The prayers of millions of admirers have been answered.
The Turkish actor, who first came into viewers’ lives through Divinity — Mediaset España’s lifestyle channel — and the hit Turkish series Erkenci Kuş, has been gaining massive media attention in recent months thanks to two major releases: El Turco and the recent Italian remake of Sandokan. He’s also been known for drawing huge crowds at fan events across different countries, where he warmly and personally interacts with each attendee — like the one he held in Madrid less than a year ago, attended by this very journalist.
The star of Dolunay took to his official social media accounts — which he returned to just a few months ago after stepping away from sharing his private life — and shook the internet. In his new post, he shared a photo of a script in Spanish, along with a caption outlining the first details of this new chapter:
“I’ve been working on this exciting project that I’ll be filming in Spain for a year. To prepare for it, I’ve spent months improving my Spanish and I’m committed to giving it my all. This fall, I’ll be moving to Spain to start shooting this series. It’s going to be an unforgettable experience and a huge personal challenge.”
But that’s not all — he went even further:
“This isn’t a permanent goodbye, just a ‘see you later,’ as I plan to return to Rome for the second season of Sandokan and another comedy project we’re currently discussing. But first, I need to go to Spain, take on this new challenge, and open myself up to a whole new world.”
He also took a moment to express gratitude to someone important in his preparation:
“I want to sincerely thank my teacher, Ana Sotos, who has played a key role in helping me learn Spanish — teaching me with incredible patience and joy.”
As for this new project, not much is known yet, but it’s only a matter of time before more details start to emerge.
