Sandokan is set to premiere this fall on Rai 1, following months of post-production after a long four-month shoot across Italy. Can Yaman stars as the lead in the highly anticipated TV series, bringing Emilio Salgari’s legendary pirate back to the small screen. The excitement around presenting the finished product to the public is palpable.
Now back home in Rome, Yaman is enjoying a major professional milestone, gaining international recognition not only for El Turco but also for Sandokan, which features an international cast and an English-language script.
During filming, Yaman had to grow his hair out, returning to a look that fans would recognize from the early days of his career, particularly his breakout role in the soap Daydreamer. Once filming wrapped—and just before returning to Instagram, which he had deactivated to stay focused on set—Can decided to make a bold move: he cut his hair very short.
But why the drastic change? In an interview with Oggi, Paolo Adolini, Yaman’s personal hair stylist, reveals the reasoning behind the new look.
Can Yaman’s Brad Pitt Moment
After finishing Sandokan—which he recently discussed again while in London—Can Yaman made a bold choice when it came to his appearance. The Turkish actor chopped off his long hair, instantly stirring reactions from fans. While some loved the new look, others missed his signature Can Divit mane.
Paolo Adolini, who co-owns a salon in Rome with Vincenzo D’Auria, shared exactly what Can told him.
“I want to change. I want to be like Brad Pitt!”
Following several projects that required a specific image, Yaman was ready for something new.
“When we met, we started gradually trimming his long hair,” Adolini explained, “until we got to the shorter style you’ve seen recently.”
In short, Yaman wanted a fresh, Brad Pitt-inspired look—and honestly, it suits him. The actor’s charm certainly hasn’t gone unnoticed.
Adolini also shared how he first met the actor—on the set of Sandokan. But when it came to taking care of Yaman’s hair, they had to meet at a hotel instead of the salon, since his presence at the shop would spark too much curiosity from clients and people passing by.
