Sharing messages with a young woman named Ayşe from the time of the February 6 earthquakes, Şen wrote: “My dear Ayşe… I am so, so, so sorry—for everyone—that conversations which should have gone to the grave with us, and the situation you and your family were in during those most difficult times, had to be shared.”

While the posts from a newly created fake account that exist solely to smear me are still up, and while it’s clear whom they do or don’t support, despite my repeatedly stating the truth and saying I have nothing to do with these writings, they put my name on a list for a matter that has nothing to do with me, and it racked up millions of views.

“Friends, even though there are thousands of accounts opened in my name everywhere, apart from my verified accounts, I have no other account, no other platform membership!”

“You might not like me. You might really like someone else. You can write and draw whatever you want—that’s part of our job. But you cannot drag me, or any actor you don’t like, into such a sensitive issue when there’s no evidence, no proof—and even though I’ve sincerely told the person the truth—by saying things like, ‘I think it’s like this, I heard it like that, but there’s something that looks like your name there, I’m leaving it here for you to decide.’ Not like this.”
