A rift has reportedly formed between famous actress Birce Akalay and her close friend, whom she once called “my precious,” actor İbrahim Çelikkol.

Fans grew curious after Akalay unfollowed her friend of nearly 10 years on Instagram, while TV host Ece Erken fueled speculation by commenting, “The reason is jealousy.”

The two stars, who co-starred in Kanal D’s 2017 drama Siyah Beyaz Aşk and often expressed their affection for each other publicly, are said to have drifted apart due to Çelikkol’s wife, Natali Yarcan. According to Erken, “It was Birce who introduced İbrahim to Natali. But their close friendship made Natali uncomfortable.”

Neither Akalay nor Çelikkol has made any statements regarding the situation, which has only intensified the rumors surrounding their now-broken friendship.
