Actor Can Yaman appeared on La Revuelta last night and sent the audience into a frenzy—as he often does. But why did Can Yaman visit La Revuelta if none of his shows are currently airing in Spain? Because Can Yaman is filming his first series in Spain
It was Miguel Ángel Revilla who, during one of his countless visits to El Hormiguero, recounted a surreal situation he experienced while staying at the Hotel Convención in Madrid. As he arrived, he was met with an avalanche of women. He didn’t understand what was happening or why, until he discovered it was all due to the presence of a Turkish actor: Can Yaman. Imagine the scene. Well, the same thing happened last night after he appeared as a guest on La Revuelta.
If you opened X last night, it was nearly impossible not to stumble upon a post praising the actor—as if you were Ana Belén in La pasión turca. The truth is, it’s hard to find a woman who doesn’t consider Can Yaman to be in a league of his own.
The actor’s visit to La Revuelta was surprising, since none of his series are currently airing on any network. But Can Yaman is working on his first Spanish-language project as the lead. That’s why, during his interview with David Broncano, the actor showed off his command of Spanish. “All in Spanish, please. Nothing in English. It’s a challenge for me,” he warned Broncano right at the start of the interview.
“Ser un paquete, mojar el churro or chapuza” are some of the expressions Can Yaman had written down in the two notebooks he brought to La Revuelta, labeled “swear words, sayings and expressions.”
The production marks Yaman’s first project in Spanish and his first series filmed in Spain. Secuoya says the rest of the cast—featuring many familiar faces from the Spanish audiovisual scene—will be revealed soon.
“This new project represents a fresh milestone in Secuoya Studios’ international strategy,” says Brendan Fitzgerald, CEO of Secuoya Studios. “Having Can Yaman lead his first Spanish-language series, backed by an exceptional technical and artistic team, reaffirms our mission to create high-quality content with global reach.”
For his part, Can Yaman emphasizes that “working in Spain for the first time is a very special experience for me. I’ve always felt a strong connection with the Spanish audience, and being able to shoot here, in their language and with such a talented team, is a dream come true. I’m very grateful to Secuoya Studios for trusting me and offering me the chance to be part of a production that combines emotion, action, and outstanding artistic quality,” he says.
The series’ executive production includes Eduardo Galdo (La Encrucijada), who also created the original concept, with Lele Portas (Heridas) as executive producer. Ángela Obón (4 estrellas) and Daniel Corpas (Cuando nadie nos ve) penned the script, delivering a gripping narrative packed with intrigue, action, and emotional depth.
This new title is the second major fiction project from Secuoya Studios Stories, following the success of La Encrucijada, the most-watched Spanish fiction premiere of the year on Antena 3.
The plot follows a secret agent with an impeccable record who is betrayed and becomes the most wanted man in Spain. As he fights to clear his name and expose those behind a multimillion-euro theft from state coffers, he discovers that love may be his greatest weakness… or his only salvation.
